7 Card Stud

It is important for you to know that in 7 card stud that the various suits of the cards are given a ranking that goes from the highest to the lowest. The highest of the ranking goes to the suit of Spades followed in order by the Hearts the Diamonds and lastly the Clubs. And it is important to note that in playing 7 card stud, the first cards can not be dealt to the players until each player has made an ante, this is the mandatory bet for getting into the game.

After each player has “anted up” the game will then proceed with all of the card players being dealt a total of three cards. There are two hole cards which are dealt face down on the table and one of the cards is dealt face up. This third card is known as the door card in this game.

The betting will proceed with the player with the lowest score card by suit and by rank making the very first bet. In the game of 7 card stud this is called the bring in. After that, the betting can begin. The betting is always down in a clockwise manner and this first round of betting is often known as the “third street”

Once the first round of betting has been completed the card players will all receive another card face up in front of them. The difference from this round forward is that the player that has the highest cumulative hand showing is the one that will begin to do the betting. The caveat here is that if two or more players have a hand that is the same, then the player who is the closest one to the dealer’s left will be the one that allowed starting the betting in the round.

The online poker players are then dealt yet another card face up. The difference here and for any subsequent rounds is that the minimum betting amount doubles. This amount generally will bring the amount of the bet to the maximum allowed in the particular game.

Once this round has been dealt yet another card is given to each player. Once again these cards are face up so that everyone at the table can see the hand of cards that player has been given, minus of course the two hole cards.

After betting in this round has been made one final card is given to the players, but this particular card is dealt face down so there are three unseen cards and four visible ones in front of each player.

Once the betting for this final and seventh round has been completed, any Titan Poker player who have remained in the game and not folded must show what their hands consist of. Just as in all poker games the player with the highest score is declared the winner, receives the pot on the table and the play moves on to the next hand. The game is more detailed than other forms of poker and a little more bluffing is required to win.
